As many as 13 personnel, including the Executive Engineer of the Public Works Department Buildings Division, Malappuram, have been placed under suspension pending inquiry.
Minister for Public Works G. Sudhakaran said 12 personnel had been suspended for not being present in the office when the PWD Vigilance wing officials visited the office to inquire into the alleged irregularities in the buildings section.
Failure to control staff
The Executive Engineer had been placed under suspension for failing to control the personnel working under him.
