12 file nominations in Wayanad

POLL-READY: Minister for Welfare of Scheduled Tribes and Youth Affairs P.K. Jayalakshmi, Congress candidate in the Mananthavady Assembly segment, filing her nomination papers on Monday.

: As many as 12 aspirants on Monday filed their nominations in Wayanad district for the Assembly elections, according to an official statement issued by the District Election Officer and District Collector Kesavendrakumar.

Minister for Welfare of Scheduled Tribes and Youth Affairs P.K. Jayalakshmi , who is the Congress party candidate in the Mananthavady Assembly segment, filed her nomination.

The Minister filed her nomination before Sree Ram Sambasiva Rao, Wayanad Sub-Collector and Returning officer of Mananthavadi constituency.

Candidates

While Mohandas (Bharatiya Janata Party), O.R. Kelu and V.R. Praveej (Communist Party of India-Marxist) filed their papers in the Mananthavadi segment, C.K. Saseendran (CPI-M), Nazirudheen and Sujaykumar (CPI-ML) as well as K. Sadanadan and P.G. Anandkumar (Bharatiya Janata Party) submitted their nominations in Kalpetta Assembly constituency.

T.R. Sreedharan, SUCI; Rugmini Subrahmanian and Vasudevan CPI(M); filed their papers in the Sulthan Bathery constituency.
