The judges of the Kerala High Court including Chief Justice S.R. Bannurmath will disclose their assets and make them public.

The judges on Friday “unanimously resolved” to update the declaration of assets already made to the Chief Justice and publish the same on the High Court website by September 30, said D. Sreevallabhan, Registrar General of the High Court.

The decision comes close on the heels of the Supreme Court Judges’ announcement to post their statements of assets on the website of the Supreme Court. The Kerala High Court is the first High Court in the country to take a unanimous decision to make assets of its judge public. It has 33 judges including the Chief Justice.

Earlier, Justice D.V. Shylendra Kumar of the Karnataka High Court and Justice K. Kannan of the Punjab and Haryana High Court have voluntarily disclosed their assets and made them public.
