A day after targeting BJP chief Nitin Gadkari, Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday said more truths will be out showing how politicians of all parties are in collusion with each other.
He said they have just started the process and it has to be taken forward.
“If there is a detailed investigation, more truths will be exposed. It will show how politicians of all parties have industries and they are taking water from dams built for irrigation purpose (in Maharashtra),” he alleged.
Mr. Kejriwal on Wednesday accused Mr. Gadkari of receiving personal favours by getting around 100 acres of agriculture land in Maharashtra after the Congress-NCP government there bent rules.
When allegations are levelled against them, he said, both the BJP and the Congress term these as useless.
“It may be useless for Salman Khurshid but it is not useless for those whose crutches and tricycles have been stolen. For Gadkari, it will be useless but for farmers who have lost their land, it is not useless,” he said.
Responding to Mr. Gadkari’s remarks, Mr. Kejriwal said land acquired for irrigation should only be used for public interest and “If national interest has to be served, why only Gadkari? If they had given out advertisements, 1000 such organisations would have come out who are doing good work.
“The Supreme Court judgement clearly says that excess land acquired for a project will be auctioned only and it cannot be given to an individual. What we have brought out is just one example,” he said.
Alleging collusion between politicians and industries, Mr. Kejriwal said people want to know why Mr. Gadkari has not raised questions on dam water meant for irrigation is not being used for the stated purpose.
“Why is it that when we spoke of Robert Vadra, Sharad Yadav and Akhilesh Yadav came up in his defence? What does this show?” he said.
“Digvijay Singh has recently said that politicians do not target relatives of each others. What does this show? Is corruption not an individual issue?” he added.

Mr Kejriwal, What an excellent job you are doing, Really great Job..Carry on...don't bother, what other are saying....who are saying against you... Do they have such courage to do the right thing and to
face the the today's biggest challenge, which our nation is suffering from. This is the only way to expose the misdeeds of so called not ours politician. I am unable to find out any word in dictionary , which could define politician.
@Vyas K Susarla,It is an illusion that,Communists are free from corruption. Are you not aware of Kerala!
Mr. Kejriwal, don't concentrate on politicians at the centre ! Please
come down to Tamilnadu. You can have many more things to reveal to
the world. Exploitation of minerals, excessive sand quarrying,
encroachment of irrigation tanks, lakebeds, snatching of lands from
weaker sections etc, etc... In fact, you must expose of all those who
hitherto hide the information which was inaccessible by ordinary
citizens. The good thing will be the respective state high courts
should come forward to voluntarily take up such cases under Public
Interest Litigation and pronounce the judgement in short time.
Indeed very interesting time in the country`s timeline with so many scandals
unearthed by the hour. Aravind is clearly riding a tiger & this cannot sustain for
long . Sooner than later, the tiger will have its meal. Hope he manages to lift the
saggy nondescript collective conscience of the nation before the scandals & the man
fade from our memory.
Atleast Mr. Kejriwal is doing something..what media and opposition parties would have done is now done by Kejriwal. No body is without any motive Kejriwal may also have his share of ambition but the point is some thing is happening. today people are talking about it, they are aware.
totally agree with Ritika. Its hard to believe that how much insecure
we have become. a person who has put his personal life at
back, exposing the various scams by our so called leaders and he is at
least doing something. we are questioning his intentions. atleast he
is making some efforts. how many of us have courage to criticize a
heavy reputed minister at public platform. we can very well see the
impact of his allegations by the kind of statements given by accused
politicians. it is ridiculous to see that despite arvind's so much
efforts there are people who questions his honesty. so if we our self
are not doing something then we should not even question arvind's
motives. I think we all educated people should support him in his this
endeavour.
@Vyas K Susarla: Its true what you have said, when the PM post was offered to late Jyoti Basu of CPM, he didn't accept it and they had lost a golden chance to serve the country and people. But we wonder as to why and for what purpose are they still in the fray doing politics when they could not accept power to realize their dream !
On the other hand, Kejriwalji of IAC, is doing a great and fantastic job of exposing all in the corrupt leaders and is very bold. We all should support him and enroll as members in order to fortify his hands and the platform he stands on. MAY GOD BLESS HIM !
Arvind Kejriwal has been a victim of his own ambition claiming to be
the only corruption-free team. The whole episode of false
presentations of Nitin Gadkari's case when the farmer Gajanan himself
denied (See TOI today) saying anything to Anjali. The moment Anna left him, he
is a rudderless ship not knowing which direction to go. YP Singh is
exactly correct when he questions the motive of Arvind in targeting a
much less important case and letting a mega scam slip on the pretext
of balancing although he had all the details.
In Indian political circles, except communists all others have skeltons in their cup-boards. But communists cannot administer/ perform things properly that's why they ran away from power when offered at the centre and their present predicament in Bengal.
Anyone who opposes Kejriwal has the moral duty - to do something better
than Kejriwal - to prove that there can be better options today than
Kejriwal - to fight against corruption in India. Is there any better
alternative - to fight corruption in today's India - than Kejriwal?
Please suggest and I will think about it seriously.
If Arvind Kejriwal knows many many corruption truths, why he wants to reveal them in instalments. It is clear he is not against corruption. He is only interested to use corruption charges to malign others and extract political profits.
Dear Mr Kejriwal
It is now no big deal to find out corruption caes in India. You just
scratch , case after case tumbles out.
If you intend to succeed as political party , Prepare and show a road
map for real time progess in INDIA encompassing all connected without
wasting your precious time in establishing yourself as qualified
whistle blower only . Get connected with country as someone who
abhores cheap popularity and has clear practical vision to make
country progress. regards
Arvind, in TN there is no such thing happening; its separate; no collusion. People ensure every 5 yrs one party to loot, alternately. They are put in such a hardship, they don't have time to think of the past. So, can't remember the bad deeds of the previous party in power and simply elect them, bcz there is no third party here....
Kejriwal is our local 'Assange'. I fear he is going too fast. Is India ready for the transition which IAC is seeking? Politician-Businessmen-Police nexus is not easy to break since it covers most of the Indians!!! Politicians are the tip of the iceberg. Its the people that support these parties that are the real culprit. Politicians reflect the people who support them. India is a partisan society, where majority of the people have no clue of the possibility of the ideal society and politics. Overall majority of Indians lack the sense of true values. Majority of people vote under the influence of caste, religion, alcohol, bribe etc. Politicians have succeeded in keeping the masses ignorant for so long since independence.
Great guy. Salute to him for his work.
