Karunanidhi greets Sonia on Cong victory in elections

Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi on Thursday greeted Sonia Gandhi, Congress president and chairperson of the United Progressive Alliance, on her party’s victory in the Assembly elections to Maharashtra, Haryana and Arunachal Pradesh.

In a message to Ms. Gandhi, the Chief Minister attributed the victory to the “excellent performance” of the Congress governments in the States and at the Centre. The electorate voted for the Congress because of her “dynamic and charismatic leadership, hard and sincere work”, Mr Karunanidhi said.
