Youth stabbed in Pavagada

A youth was stabbed near a bakery in Pavagada of Tumakuru district on Wednesday by a group of nine youths.

The police said that the injured is Teju (22) of Pavagada. He was standing along with two of his friends near the bakery when the group picked up a quarrel with him and his friends, thrashed the three and stabbed Teju with a knife on his neck and back. He was immediately shifted to Pavagada taluk government hospital along with his friends.

The group of youths did not give way to Teju on Tuesday (March 20) evening while he was going on his two-wheeler to fetch drinking water. Teju had stared at them. They took objection to it a carried out the attack.

Four of the attackers were caught and handed over to the police. The remaining five managed to escape from the spot.
