Youth Congress members took out a protest march in Belagavi on Tuesday, against the Prime Minister Narenda Modi-led NDA government for failing to keep its promises made to the people. They gathered outside the district post office and shouted slogans against Mr. Modi and the Central government.

“Mr. Modi had promised to create two crore jobs every year. But this has not happened. He has also failed in his promises to bring back black money, or extradite criminals living in foreign countries. He has made a monumental blunder in snatching away poor people’s money through demonetisation. He has scuttled small business by imposing goods and services tax indiscriminately on all items, including agriculture produce. The Union government should seek a public apology on all such wrong moves and correct itself,” they said.

Belagavi city youth congress president Faizan Sait and others led the protest.
