Yeddyurappa offers pooja at temples in Kannur

Karnataka Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa reached here on Saturday on a private visit to offer pooja in two local temples.

The Chief Minister reached here at around 10 a.m. in helicopter from Mangalore and visited the Mahaganapathi Temple at Puthiyatheru and Raja Rajeshwari Temple at Taliparamba to offer special poojas and make offerings. He also visited the Madayikavu Temple at Pazhayangadi before he left for Mangalore in the chopper at around 3 p.m.

There was unprecedented security to ensure the Chief Minister's safety during his visit. The helicopter landed at the helipad at the Defence Security Corps (DSC) Centre Grounds here. Local Bharatiya Janata Party leaders, police, Revenue officials and officers of the DSC Centre received him at the helipad.
