A woman was killed and two were injured, when a car ran over them while they were sleeping by the side of the National Highway 206 in Hosur village in Sagar taluk on Friday night.
Sarojamma (50), construction worker from Bellary, was the victim. She had gone to Hosur to work for a project of bridge construction. Susheelamma, another worker, and Akash (11), who were also sleeping by Sarojamma’s side sustained injuries. Driver of the car escaped from the scene, leaving the vehicle behind. A case has been registered in Sagar rural police station.
