Woman murdered in Tumakuru

A 26-year-old woman was brutally murdered at Sanganahalli in Gubbi taluk in Tumakuru district on Saturday night.

The police said that the deceased has been identified as Prafulla. She had left her husband, Girish, who is the police sub-inspector in Hosadurga in Chitradurga district, and her three-year-old son and was staying with her parents at Sanganahalli for the past four months.

She had gone to her friend's house for dinner in the same village.While she was returning home on her two-wheeler, some unidentified persons have attacked her around 10.00 pm.

The villagers who saw her body around 11.30 pm informed the police.

Superintendent of Police, Karthik Reddy, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Vijay Kumar and other officers visited the spot.

Dog squad and finger print experts also visited the spot.

Mr.Karthik Reddy has formed a special team headed by Gubbi sub-inspector, U.R.Manjunath to nab the accused.

Case is registered in Chelur police station.
