A woman riding pillion on a two-wheeler died after the motorcycle was hit by a tractor near Tattavalu village in Arakalgudu taluk on Friday.
The deceased has been identified as Gowramani (40), wife of Devaraju, resident of Tattavalu village. She was on the way to Basavapatna from Tattavalu when a tractor hit the motorcycle from behind. She suffered serious injuries in the accident.
She was taken to a Government Hospital in Arakalgud, where doctors advised to take her to Hassan Institute of Medical Sciences. She succumbed to injuries on the way to the Hospital.
Konanur police have filed complaint filed by Vishakanthappa, relative of the deceased. Negligence of the tractor’s driver is said to be the reason for the accident.
