State president of the Janata Dal (Secular) H.D. Kumaraswamy has said that if his party was voted to power, they would find a permanent solution to the inter-State water dispute.

Mr. Kumaraswamy was addressing an election rally in the district on Saturday.

The former Chief Minister campaigned in Madhugiri, Koratagere, Sira, Chikkanayakanahalli and Tumkur Rural constituency on Saturday.

Addressing a gathering at Madhugiri, Mr. Kumaraswamy said if the JD(S) formed the government in the State, it would find a permanent solution to the inter-state water dispute. He said they would construct good roads in a fortnight after coming to power.
