Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister T.B. Jayachandra on Friday said the State government had nothing to do with the Bangalore Metropolitan Task Force (BMTF) case registered against former Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar, charging him with allotting four acres of land illegally to Sundaresh, son of freedom fighter Suryanarayana Rao. Addressing presspersons here, Mr. Jayachandra said it was based on an individual complaint. “We are not in favour of practising vindictive politics,” he said. He said those who had filed cases against Mr. Shettar had obtained all relevant records to prove their charges through RTI. “The government will not interfere with the BMTF case,” he said.
