Website on Muzrai temples launched

January 26, 2012 01:08 pm | Updated October 18, 2016 02:52 pm IST - BANGALORE:

Chief Minister D.V. Sadananda Gowda on Wednesday launched a website on important temples in the State under the Muzrai Department.

As of now, people can get information on different sevas available in six temples and book accommodation online by visiting www.karnatakatemplesyatra.kar.nic.in.

However, the website was non-functional till Wednesday evening.

Commissioner of the department B.G. Nandakumar said that two Class A temples — Male Mahadeshwara and Kukke Subramanya — had been awarded the ISO certificate for systematic functioning. He claimed that it was for the first time that temples under the department had got the certificate.

He said that the department would soon bring out booklets providing details on all Muzrai temples and facilities available.

Mr. Nandakumar also said the department had arranged for payment of donations, booking of sevas and accommodation in different temples, at its head office at Chamarajpet here.

Devotees could pay either by cash or card, he said.
