Vital records destroyed in fire accident in Manvi

A fire that broke out at a computer room in the taluk panchayat office in Manvi, around 46 km from here, has destroyed several important documents on Tuesday. Fire and Emergencyfighters rushed to the spot immediately and douse the fire. Electricity system, fans, furniture were not damaged. As per an eye witness, the fire broke out at about 8.30 a.m.

"After thorough examination only the loss of records and damages to equipments can be ascertained. We have registered a complaints in Manvi police station. We have also informed the higher officials in the Panchayat Raj department about the incident," Bheemasen Rao, taluk panchayat manager, told the presspersons.
