Vikas Souhardha Cooperative Bank registers profit

Vikas Souhardha Cooperative Bank in Hosapete has registered a profit before tax of Rs. 3.75 crore and a net profit of Rs. 2.01 crore for the year 2014-15.

Disclosing this to presspersons at Hosapete on Wednesday, Vishwanath Hiremath, chairman of the bank, said that the bank’s total business stood at Rs. 227 crore.

The bank, with a own share capital of Rs. 3.75 crore, had mobilised Rs. 135 crore as deposits. The bank, which has its presence in Hosapete, Sindhanoor, Hubballi and Gangavati, plans to open branches in Koppal and Karatagi in Koppal district, Hagari Bommanahalli, Ballari city and Toranagal in Ballari district, and Gajendragad in Gadag district in due course.
