Minister for Health and Family Welfare K.R. Ramesh Kumar has allayed fears among some sections of the society that vaccination could lead to undesirable consequences.

At the launch of the Indra Dhanush universal vaccination programme in Belagavi on Monday, he said there were some unfounded fears among minorities about the “ill effects” of vaccination. “These are not true and I urge members of minority communities to participate in the Indra Dhanush campaign,” he said. The second intensive phase of Indra Dhanush would be implemented from October 7 to 17 in select districts including Belagavi.
