The government has decided to restructure the geographical jurisdiction of police stations in Bengaluru city on scientific basis for better maintenance of law and order, said Home Minister G. Parameshwara.
Replying to BJP member Ravi Subramanya in the Assembly, the Minister said presently the city’s police stations did not have uniform geographical area. While some stations had small jurisdictions of 2 km to 3 km, some others had nearly 8-km jurisdiction, he pointed out. The draft restructuring plan was ready, he said.
