Under-15 chess championship from August 6 to 9

More than 150 chess players from across the State are expected to participate in the Open FIDE Rating Chess Championship (below 15 years) and the Open Chess Championship for Girls below 15 years in Hubballi from August 6 to 9. Dharwad District Chess Association is conducting the chess championship in association with the Rotary Club, Hubballi, and the event will be held at Srikrishna Kalyanmantap at Deshpande Nagar in Hubballi.

Addressing presspersons here on Friday, president of Rotary Club Narinder Barwal and secretary of Dharwad District Chess Association Vinay Kurtkoti said both chess championships were recognised by the Karnataka State and the All India Chess Federation.
