Two take oath as MLCs

Nagaraj Chabbi of the Congress and Raghu Achar, an Independent, were sworn in as members of the Legislative Council on Saturday.

Council Chairman D.H. Shankaramurthy administered oath to them.

In the recently held byelections to the Council, Mr Chabbi got elected from the Dharwad Local Authorities constituency and Mr. Achar from the Chitradurga Local Authorities constituency.

Council member and veteran Congress leader M.V. Rajasekharan, the former Chairman and MLC Veeranna Mathikatti and MLC R.V. Venkatesh were present on the occasion and wished the newly elected members.
