Two held for transporting two-headed snake

The Gurmitkal police arrested two persons from Hyderabad, who were allegedly transporting a two-headed snake in a car on the outskirts of Gurmitkal town in Yadgir district on Tuesday night. The police gave their names as Ajam and Srinivas.

According to the police, they were transporting a rare species of two-headed snake into the State. There were five persons in the car and three of them fled the spot when the police stopped the vehicle as part of night patrolling.

A case was registered in Gurmitkal Police station and the snake was handed over to the Forest Department.
