Two men died on the spot near Mugulavalli Gate on Belur-Chikkamagaluru Road on Monday after their two-wheeler was hit by a tipper truck.
The Chikkamagaluru police identified the deceased as Karthik, 24, and Channakeshava, 30, of Ramanahalli in the town. Both the victims, natives of Chikkamagaluru, were working in Bengaluru. They were on the way to Chikkamagaluru from Bengaluru to attend Kartik’s parents’ 25th wedding anniversary celebration.
Case registered
A case was registered in Chikkamagaluru Rural Police Station. The police have taken the driver of the tipper to custody.
