Tumakuru MLA gets ransom call

Close on the heels of the ransom call made to Minister for Primary and Secondary Education Tanveer Sait by a person claiming to be underworld operative Ravi Poojari, a similar call was received by Tumakuru MLA Suresh Babu.

Mr. Suresh Babu has filed a complaint with the city police stating that the caller had threatened him with dire consequences and demanded a ransom of Rs. 10 crore. The caller who spoke in Hindi also sent messages to Mr. Babu’s mobile phone.

It may be recalled that Mr. Tanveer Sait has received few messages on his mobile phone demanding Rs. 10 crore ransom failing which he would be killed. Mr. Sait had approached the police seeking security.
