The Transport Department officials have been roped in to check the condition of the vehicles that will transport question papers from the district treasuries to the examination centres.

“The distance between the treasuries and the exam centres is likely to be long. As we do not want to take a chance, we will ensure that the vehicles are in good condition and there is no breakdown,” an official said. Another source pointed out that the RTOs were vested with the responsibility of booking the vehicle for transporting the papers, sealing the vehicle, and escorting the department officials till the exam centres.

Depts. roped in

Several departments such as revenue, home, treasuries, and other sections of the Department of Primary and Secondary Education have been roped in for this purpose.

Ironically, the new staff deployed in the exam section, after 40 people of DPUE were suspended, has not been informed about the exam preparations.
