The 10th edition of Tour of Nilgiris (TfN), the annual tour of RideACycle Foundation, concluded in Mysuru on Sunday evening with 128 cyclists completing the tour after covering over 1,000 km across Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu.
On the return leg, they pedalled from Ooty through Pykara, Gudalur, Mudumalai, Bandipur, Gundlupet and reached Mysuru to mark the conclusion of the tour, which kicked off from Bengaluru on December 10. While Nils Eigil Bradtberg and Naveen Thomas John were the top two finishers in the overall category, the latter along with Kiran Kumar Raju were the top two finishers in the men’s under-35 category. Lena Mareike Josefine Robra and Belinda Viegas Nueller won the first two places in the women’s category.
Satish Belawadi, Tour Director, TfN 2017, said the 10th edition was a satisfying experience and offered a great cycling tourism opportunity across some of the pristine territory.
