It turned out to be an arduous journey for a group of 10 doctors that were sent by the State government for relief efforts in Nepal.
The batch left the city at 5.30 a.m. on Monday, and after a stop-over in Delhi, they proceeded to Kathmandu by flight. However, after hovering around the tremor-hit airport for over two hours, the flight was diverted to Patna. A doctor said the group spent the night there, and on Tuesday headed back to Delhi to take another flight to Kathmandu.
Eventually, boarding the 1.50 p.m. flight, the group made their way to the quake-hit Himalayan Kingdom.
