Three die in road accidents in Hassan

Three people died in two separate accidents in Hassan district on Sunday evening.

A pedestrian died after he was hit by a four-wheeler while crossing the Hassan-Holenarasipur road near KIADB Circle on Sunday evening. The deceased was identified as Ramachandra (57) of Doddabasavanahalli in Hassan taluk.

He was a mechanic with the KSRTC. He had been to a tea shop after parking his two-wheeler. He succumbed to injuries in a Hassan hospital. His relative Gururaj has filed a complaint with Hassan traffic police. The police have seized the four-wheeler.

In another incident, two youths died when their two-wheeler fell off a railway bridge at Banavara in Arasikere taluk on Sunday night. The deceased, according to police, are Madhu (21) and Manu (19) of Sankihalli in Arasikere taluk.

They succumbed to injuries at the government hospital in Banavara. Ganesh, a relative, filed a complaint.
