A Hassan court on Wednesday convicted three persons accused of murder. The quantum of punishment will be pronounced on Thursday.

The convicted are Radha, Harish, and Lokesh of Dyavappanahalli near Halebid in Belur taluk. The three allegedly murdered Kumar, husband of Radha, the prime accused, on February 16, 2012. Radha had hatched a conspiracy along with Harish, a neighbour and Lokesh to murder Kumar. They murdered him and buried the body in the land belonging to the couple.

Meanwhile, Radha had complained to the police stating that her husband had gone missing. Halebid police, during the probe, found that Radha had spoken to Harish over the phone several times before her husband went missing. Upon interrogation, Harish is said to have admitted to have committed the crime. Lokesh was arrested later. It is said that Harish and Radha were in a relationship. The second additional district and sessions judge convicted the accused.
