Three boys, including two brothers, in the 11-13 age group, drowned in an open well in a field on the outskirts of Narayanpur IB Tanda in Surpur taluk of Yadgir district on Wednesday. The deceased have been identified as Ganesh (13) and brothers Vijay (12) and Ajay (11).
The incident occurred when the boys went for swimming in the well.
Yamunabai, grandmother of Ajay and Vijay, found them dead when she went near the well after they did not respond to her repeated calls.
Local residents and swimmers retrieved the bodies.
Narayanpur police have registered a case.
