Theatre festival in Ballari from March 14

Rajappa Dalwai, writer and professor in Rani Chennamma University, Belagavi, has been chosen president of the 10th three-day drama festival for college students to be held from March 14 at Dr. Joladarashi Doddanagouda Rangamandir here.

It has been organised by Rangathorana, a local cultural organisation. Music director Hamsalekha will inaugurate the festival.

Prabhudev Kappagal, secretary, Rangathorana, told presspersons here on Thursday that 15 troupes, had registered.

There would be a colourful ‘ranga yatre’ on March 14 evening in which folk artistes from Mysuru, Chamarajanagar, Navalgund, Kolar, and Ballari would participate.
