The police said R. Rajesh (14), an eighth standard student of C.K.S. High School in the city, was sitting in a chair on the platform waiting for a bus to return to his village, Dodda Kanagal, in Alur taluk around 3.30 p.m., when the bus, which had returned from Bylahalli, hit him.
