Techie from U.S. seeks help to trace missing mother

A techie, running a software firm in the United States of America and a native of Korgi village near Kundapur, has sought the help of people to find his 66-year-old mother, Malathi B. Shetty, who is missing since June 24, 2015.

Satish Shetty, CEO of Codeproof Technologies Inc, Redmond, Seattle, WA, told presspersons here recently that the attempts made by him, his family members and relatives, to trace his mother for had not yielded results.

Ms. Shetty had left her house on a 25-acre plot at Korgi village to visit a neighbour at 1.30 p.m. on June 24, 2015. She was missing since then. A police complaint was registered at the Kundapur police station the next day.

While leaving the house, Ms. Shetty was wearing gold ornaments worth close to Rs. 4 lakh. Ms. Shetty is five ft, five inches tall and has grey black hair. She has a round face, fair complexion and normal built. She was wearing a cream sari and baby pink blouse. She speaks only Kundapur Kannada.

He had announced a reward of Rs. 1 lakh for anyone providing credible information to trace his 66-year-old mother in July, last year. He and his family members had visited temples and ashrams throughout the State.

They had searched for her at bus stands and other public places. The family also filed a habeas corpus petition in the High Court to fast-track police inquiry. He also created a website for her: http://www.mommissing.org/
