‘Teachers play main role in education’

In order for children to have an enjoyable learning experience, they must be shown a lot of affection by their school teachers, said Dr N.N. Prahallada of Regional Institute of Education (RIE).

He was speaking at an orientation programme for the teachers of Shikshkarni Central School here, on the theme of ‘Empowering and motivating Teachers’.

Dr Prahallada said that teachers should aim to increase the children’s enthusiasm to help them develop the attain the necessary knowledge, skills and values to face the world. “Routine teaching without any kind of novelty will be of little use to children. Schools should create smart classrooms and teach students how to use latest technology.
