The Karnataka State Aided Education Institution Employees Association has urged the State government to extend facilities, including better salary, being offered to teachers in government schools to those working in aided institutions as well.

Members of the association told journalists here on Tuesday that many faculty members in aided schools were not receiving their salary on a fixed day.

They demanded that they be provided medical allowance, their services be regularised and excess staff from government schools be transferred to aided institutions, among others.

The association members submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister and the Minister for Secondary Education.
