Teacher suspended for writing love letter to student

H. Manjappa, a teacher of the Government High School in Kallur village of Yelburga taluk, has been placed under suspension on charges of writing a ‘love’ letter to a girl student of standard nine.

As soon as the incident came to light, Yelburga Block Education Officer conducted an inquiry and recommended the Deputy Director of Public Instruction (DDPI) to suspend Manjappa.

DDPI Shyam Sundar, visited the school and found dereliction of duty on the part of Manjappa and passed orders of his suspension with effect from December 10.
