Vemagal police have arrested a teacher of a private school at Kyalanur in Kolar taluk on the charge of sexual assault on a class five student. The police gave the name of the accused as Muniraju (32). A case under Pocso Act was registered against him.
He allegedly committed the act on the school premises on December 30 last year. However it came to light only a couple of days ago when the girl suffered from health complications and was taken to hospital for treatment.
The teacher was arrested following a complaint by the parents of the victim.
