Youngsters on the threshold of launching their career learnt the importance of ‘Vision, Values and Vitality’ in pursuit of excellence at a special lecture programme organised at the Mysore Royal Academy School of Business on Friday.
Lt. General Sunil Kumar Gadeock, AVSM and Commandant, Defence Services Staff College, Wellington, who addressed the students and staff of the academy underlined the importance of these values.
Speaking on the ‘Journey of Excellence: Beating Benchmarks and Scaling New Heights’, Lt. Gen. Gadeock described the 3 Vs as the spirit and quintessence of leadership qualities.
He said education was the only weapon that equips us to change the world. The aim of any educational institution should not only be to impart knowledge, but also to broaden the knowledge base to accommodate personality development, a sense of commitment, a deterministic approach, social and moral values, and responsibilities moulded by self-discipline and a sense of pride of belonging to this great nation, he added.
