Takes a dig at critics

Taking a swipe at his detractors for flaying his “pro-AHINDA” stance and largesse to those communities in his budgets, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Friday said that he will continue to help unmindful of the criticism since he was the strong believer of the Constitution.

Quoting B.R. Ambedkar’s words that “freedom without equality is not freedom”, Mr. Siddaramaiah took a dig at his critics for dubbing his previous budgets as “AHINDA budgets”.

He said, “Nobody dubbed my fourth budget presented recently as AHINDA, since I had laid a lot of emphasis on addressing unemployment.”

AHINDA is the Kannada acronym for minorities, backward classes and Dalits.
