Syed Ahmed, the newly elected Kalaburagi Mayor, has said that he would dedicate his full time for the inclusive development of the city.

He told presspersons after taking charge here on Monday that his main priority would be to maintain cleanliness in the city and provide pure drinking water to the households. The Kalaburagi Urban Development Authority (KUDA) and Kalaburagi City Corporation would join hands for the city’s infrastructure development and beautification.

Mr. Ahmed asserted that the funds allocated for the Kalaburagi City Corporation will be utilised fully without allowing them to lapse. Efforts will be made to streamline the spending of unspent funds through various schemes.

He said that the Kalaburagi City Corporation will be introducing the ‘Tatkal Khata’ service from next week. The applicant can submit documents and collect the khatas within 30 days from the same counter at the city corporation. A sum of Rs. 150 would be collected as betterment charges with each application, he added.
