Swearing-in ceremony at Kanteerava

May 12, 2013 03:50 am | Updated 03:50 am IST - Bangalore:

Elaborate arrangements are being made at the sprawling Kanteerava Stadium for the swearing-in ceremony of Siddaramaiah as Chief Minister on Monday.

The function will be held at 11.40 a.m. Governor H.R. Bhardwaj will administer the oath of office to Mr. Siddaramaiah, who was elected Congress Legislature Party leader on Friday.

Shifted

The venue has been shifted to the stadium in view of the problems in organising it on the steps of the Vidhana Soudha due to the on-going metro work.

50,000 people expected

Moreover, 50,000 people are expected, especially from Mysore and nearby districts, including from Mr. Siddaramaiah’s Varuna constituency.
