Support for Kolar bandh call on BEML issue

Various organisations have extended support to the proposed Kolar district bandh on May 30. The Centre of Indian Trade Unions and Bharat Earth Movers Ltd. Employees’ Association (BEMEA) have given the bandh call to register protest against the Centre’s move to privatise BEML.

Besides district unit of the Congress party, CPI (M), Karnataka Prantha Raitha Sangha, district unit of Kannada Sahitya Parishat, and Karnataka Rajya Raitha Sangha have called upon their supporters to join hands in making the bandh successful. The Karnataka Road Transport Staff and Workers Federation also supported the bandh.
