The cost estimation for the proposed super-speciality hospital in Mysuru is complete and the project outlay has been put at Rs. 96 crore. The hospital will function under the Department of Medical Education.
“It is a tertiary care hospital with each department having a dedicated ICU for advanced care,” said MMCRI Director and Dean B. Krishnamurthy.
The 200-bed hospital, the city’s first State-run hi-tech hospital, was earlier proposed on the campus of PKTB Sanatorium here. However, it was shifted to the K.R. Hospital premises as it needed a basic supportive healthcare facility (a general hospital). K.R. Hospital is a 1,000-bed general hospital.
