Minister for Women and Child Development, Umashri has said that a state level convention of stree-shakti groups of five districts would be held on November 11 at Chitradurga district.
Speaking at a meeting of district level officers of the five districts here on Sunday, she said that stree-shakti group members from Shivamogga, Chikkamagaluru, Ballari, Davangere and Tumakuru would take part in the convention.
She also said that there are plans to invite UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi to the convention.
