To woo electorate in areas dominated by Kannada speaking people, three leaders, including Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar, will campaign in favour of Bharatiya Janata Party candidates in Gujarat on December 8 and 9.

Sources in the BJP told The Hindu on Thursday that Mr. Shettar, the former Chief Minister D.V. Sadananda Gowda and Deputy Chief Minister K.S. Eshwarappa would address various public meetings in areas dominated by Kannada speaking people.

A large number of people from Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Shimoga and Dharwad were engaged in various business activities in Surat, Ahmedabad and other places. They would also address meetings of Kannada cultural organisations.
