Divya Nalluru suffers from a spinal disorder, but it has never deterred her from her studies. A student of Good Year English School, she secured 93.6% in the SSLC exam.

She said her parents, friends, sister, teachers and the school principal motivated her at every stage of her preparation.

A highly determined student, she would study in the morning and evening.

“I would start studying at 4 a.m. and then go to school and study again in the evening for two hours,” she said.

Rarely took leave

She would follow the syllabus and rarely took leave except for visiting hospital for routine check-ups. “Whenever I was on leave, my friends would help me by providing updates about the lessons taught and also give notes,” said Divya.

She now aims to pursue science, with a PCMB combination in pre-university, and wants to become a doctor. Her father is a construction engineer and her mother a homemaker.
