Jagadaguru Bharati Tirtha Swamiji of Sringeri Sharadha Peetha, along with junior seer Vidhushekara Bharathi Tirtha Swamiji, will consecrate Sri Sharadamba idols at a newly constructed temple on Sangankal Road here between February 22 and February 25.

The swamijis would arrive on February 22 and they would be given a traditional welcome.

Religious functions, in connection with the consecration, would be held during the next three days, according to M. Govind Bhat, president of the Sankara Tatwa Prachara Seva Samiti.

The temple has come up on a two-acre piece of land. There were proposals to construct a kalyan mantap, a guru bhavan for which the swamijis would be performing the bhumi puja on February 24.

Around 20,000 devotees from within and also from neighbouring States are expected to participate in the religious festivities. Bus facilities have been arranged for devotees.
