SPP Bhavani Singh’s plea to be heard today

The Karnataka High Court will hear on Friday the plea of G. Bhavani Singh, Special Public Prosecutor for disproportionate assets case against Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa, challenging imposition of fine on him by the Special Court.

The Special Court, on March 14, imposed Rs. 60,000 fine (which is SPP’s fee for a day to argue the case) for not commencing his final arguments and taking repeated adjournments since January 27.
