Siddaramaiah to felicitate C.N.R. Rao

Eminent scientist C.N.R. Rao will be felicitated by the Karnataka government at the Banquet Hall of the Vidhana Soudha on Wednesday on being conferred the highest civilian honour, Bharat Ratna.

Information Minister R. Roshan Baig told presspersons here on Tuesday that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah would felicitate Prof. Rao in the presence of other Ministers and senior scientists K. Kasturi Rangan and U.R. Rao.

A photo exhibition on the life and achievements of Prof. Rao would be arranged outside the Banquet Hall on the occasion. A book and a CD on his life will also be released. Doordarshan will telecast the programme live, said the Minister.
