Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, who had an invitation to attend Prime Minister-designate Narendra Modi’s swearing-in ceremony in Delhi on Monday, has decided not to attend the programme.

Sources in the Chief Minister’s office said the Chief Minister had received the invitation on Friday. “But, he has decided not to attend it,” sources said. Meanwhile, Janata Dal (Secular) sources said the party’s national president H.D. Deve Gowda will attend the event.
