Yogi Adityanath, MP, and Mahant of Goraksha Peeth, has said that “home-coming of one individual will decrease the population of the Indian enemy by one digit, and every single conversion from Hinduism to other religions meant an increase in the enemy’s population by one digit.”
Addressing a gathering of less than one third of the expected 30,000 at the Virat Hindu Samavesh organised as part of the Swarna Jayanti Mahotsav of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) at KLE Society’s Lingraj College Ground on Sunday, he said the time had come for Hindus to come under one “saffron flag” to establish “Akhand Hindu Rahtra”.
However, the objective of one Hindu nation could not be achieved as long as there was caste-based discrimination and untouchability, he said. Adityanath called upon Hindu religious institutions to shun discrimination and untouchability to achieve the goal.
VHP organising secretary Gopal Bhat said families who underwent forced religious conversion in the past wanted to return because life was much better in “Hinduism”. Adrushya Kadasiddeshwar Swami of Kaneri Mutt, Kolhapur, Maharashtra, called upon the participants to strive for strengthening Hindu religious and cultural identity.
Pancham Shivalingeshwar Swami of Nidasoshi Mutt advised people against being blindly influenced by “speeches” and suggested that they should personally study and understand religion in its true essence.
